The King

The King

Hi, I know I've been MIA for a few days, I needed to focus on a few real estate deals as well as self. What I will say, is that I miss you guys.  I hate it when I'm unable to muster up the energy to post.  Oh, well, let's not dwell on that, onwards and upwards.  Speaking of upwards, I'm taking today to celebrate the King, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  I know this is not exactly the post you were hoping for today, but it is important to remember one of the greatest.  This man did so many things for our community including the March on Washington in 1964, that led Congress to pass the landmark Civil Rights Act, essentially eliminating legalized racial segregation in the United States. The legislation made it illegal to discriminate against blacks or other minorities in hiring, public accommodations, education or transportation, areas which at the time were still very segregated in many places. Amazing! I love a person who lives with conviction.

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day!
